Alone in my despair.
I cringe, as the warm tears
Cascade down my face
How I detest this place

Morning Glory

The sun awakens in all its' glory
The cool morning breeze caresses me softly
The soft whistling of the birds calms my spirit
The sweet smelling roses rouse my senses

There's a peacefulness about the morn'
That takes my breath away
If only this feeling would last all the day

The world seems warm and friendly
The trees are in quiet ecstasy
A new beginning
So pure and pristine


The butterflies flutter with calming measure
This scenery gives me awesome pleasure
It's the morning in all its' grandeur

BROKEN LAND

Blood stains the land
Lawlessness abounds
This is what my land has become
An extreme sadness engulfs me
As I helplessly watch good ol' Trini
Deteriorate into this devilish state

Broken and torn I watch her bleed
Shame and disgrace etched on her face
She cries out in anguish and pain
Depravity reigns supreme
Look toward the heavens
Call to the Holy Being

Oh how we have lost the thread
That held together this nation
The nonchalant disregard for life
This precious gift given to man
Which some diabolical soul
Would rise up and foolishly demand

Oh how I grieve for my loving country
So bruised and abused
Infected with venomous rage
Pregnant with hate
An abyss of lawlessness
Come now Lord and emancipate

While we dream dreams of happiness and laughter
A woman,s son lies cold on a slab
With a heavy heart and bloodshot eyes
She laments her pain...her hurt ...her strain
As our sons lay safely in their rooms
We clutch our hearts in silent gratitude

To make sense of our lives
We wine ,drink and always ready for ah lime
The only way to inject some sanity into our lives
Is to buss a lethal wine ...have a time
'Cause no matter how tattered and torn
This is still our land... d place where WE born

Blue seas roll unto white sands
The sea glistens at the touch of the sun
The cool ocean air kisses me gently
The palm trees sway in the sweet ocean breeze

The water beckons as I soak in the ambiance
The calming mantra of the birds infiltrates my system
So soothing and enthralling
The ultimate experience

The trees dance to the song of the earth
Their leaves swaying and rocking to the groove
Peacefulness abounds
Nature's magnificence

As I stand in the warm ocean water
Fishes swim past my feet
A smile dances across my lips
I feel a feeling I can ne'er explain

I walk along the seashore basking in the sunshine
The clouds sail across the sky
The waves crash onto the shore
I give praise for the blessings He's bestowed

Seven Angels

The world was dark and cold
Sadness was my friend
I tried and tried again
And couldn't comprehend
Why I asked myself
Over and over again

The sun refused to shine
My life no longer mine
The burden too much to bear
The anger and the tears
The pain,so severe
Oh Father hear my prayer

The days rolled by
So cruel and unkind
Then one day the Lord appeared
He held my hand and said
Never fear my love for I am here
To hold you in my arms and wipe away your tears

He held me close ....close as can be
I cried and cried and he comforted me
I told him my fears and described how I felt
He listened for hours and never got tired
When the time came for him to depart
He left me seven angels near to my heart

Away from adversity I'd fly
I'd see the world from way up high

I'd steal a ride on a cloud
I'd wear my freedom like a crown
I'd nest in a great big tree
Amid vast greenery

I'd flutter amid the beautiful flowers
In the world's most famous gardens
Crooning a pulsating melody
A luscious harmony

Yes if I was a bird
I'd gracefully flit about
Perch on huge roof tops
Chirping along with the rest of the flock

I'd travel far and wide
Through the city and the countryside
Happily and wonderfully cruising

The calming mantra of the birds infiltrates my being
As I lay in tranquility in the early morning
I rise and give praise to the maker of the world
I thank him for the blessings he's bestowed

The radiant blue carpet above
Adorned with dollops of clouds
White and puffy as they glide through the sky
Forming interesting shapes as they go by

The breeze is calm and gentle
As it kisses my cheek
The trees ...oh how they dance to the tempo
Their green leaves swaying to the beat

The waterfall is like white paint cascading down a wall
A glorious spectacle to behold
The sun gently gleams on down
Like a protector of sorts watching over all

Coconut trees and glistening seas
Magnificent flowers bloom
Butterflies slaughter my gloom
The wind whispers a quiet tune

The scintillating ambiance captivates my soul
I belong to the greatest place in the world
This scenery affords me a natural high
